TIS' THE SEASON TO BE "MINI" BAKING

With Thanksgiving come and gone it's time to start focusing on Christmas! My favorite time of year where there's tons of cookies and eggnog and best of all family time around the tree. To start off the season with some holiday cheer, I have made these adorable Gingerbread Men as well as a Gingerbread house prep board. I know they will look just adorable in someones mini kitchen. Thanks for looking and Happy Holidays!

"A Christmas Story"

Is there anyone that HASN'T seen the movie "A Christmas Story"? Odds are you've all seen it and who can forget the scene where the dogs ruin Christmas dinner. Oh the horror! The look on the fathers face was priceless! Yep that sure is a good movie and I was fortunate enough to have been commissioned by a fellow miniaturist, whom is creating a "Christmas Story" room box, to make a Christmas dinner turkey that looks like the dogs have gotten to it. Haha.... I really do love these unique projects. I probably could have torn up the turkey a little more, but I wanted to make sure it could still be recognized as a turkey. Enjoy!

HALLOWEEN PARTY IN MINIATURE!

Is anyone having a Halloween party this year? I LOOOOVE Halloween and I wish I was, but I just don't have the space right now to have people over. Of course when we can't do things we want to in real life, what do all us miniaturists do? Why we create it in miniature of course! Here are all the fixings for perfect Halloween Party table.

Chocolate Chip SKULL Cookies

Pumpkin and Ghost Cookies

Halloween Cookie Gift Basket

Witch Cupcakes

WITCHES "EYEBALL" STEW

I have been playing with different scales this past couple months and came across some fabulous quarter scale and half scale pots. When I saw these cauldrons I just knew something had to be done with them, so here it is..... Some Witches Eyeball Stew in half scale (1:24).

Yes, I know we are barely in August and I'm already making Halloween food, but like they say, the early bird gets the worm, or in this case, the hotdog....... OMG, I'm such a cheeseball! Hahahahaha
Anyways, I made some "Mummy Dogs" last night and I love how cute they turned out. Enjoy!

MORE PLAYTIME WITH THE RESIN

So I played with the resin a little more this weekend and made a bucket of drinks for a miniature party, as well as another version of my "Bobbing For Apples". If you look closely, one of the apples has teeth mark in it LOL.

As always, these can be found in my Etsy Store :)

PLAYING WITH RESIN

This past Tuesday, I decided to pull out my Epoxy Resin and start to experiment and play with it. I always thought that mixing large amounts would be hard, becuase you have to have the EXACT amount of each in order for it to set properly, but it's alot easier to use than I thought. After mixing it I needed stuff to fill, so I filled a bunch of tea pots and tea cups and even played with created a "spilled" look. I also made some Halloween goodies. Here are a few pics of some things I made while experimenting.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND CHANDELIER

My Alice in Wonderland chandelier is DONE! All I need to do is add some shine to it.  I was asked to replicate a life size chandelier and wasn't sure I could do it, but I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite miniature pieces. Maybe it's because it's a "non food" miniature which is so different from what I usually work on. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the outcome and I know my client will be too. Below are pictures of the life size version as well as my mini creation. The only difference is that I used candles instead of lamp shades, because there would be no electricity in the woods for the Mad Hatters Tea Party :) LOL..  Enjoy and thanks for looking!

MAD HATTER TEA PARTY - FINAL TAKE

I am finally done with the Mad Hatter Tea Party commission. I wasn't able to fit all of the goodies I made on one table, but at least you can get an idea with these pictures I have taken of what it will look like. Now it's on to the second part of the commission, which is an Alice an Wonderland chandelier. Not sure I can pull this one off, but I'm going to give it a try. Enjoy!
